I've been wanting to hit an old school arcade for a long while and was skeptical of what games would be there. This place has a lot of the classics I was looking for! Rampage, Gauntlet II, Moon Patrol, Galaga, etc. My wife enjoyed it, even the 13 and 25 year old boys loved it! We spent about two hours just in the arcade and pinball, wonderful. When my health gets better and the kids older, we plan to do the throwing as well. Some of the joysticks weren't as crisp as we'd like some games were a little off, the Simpsons had a button that wasn't attached. I hope people keep coming so the little things get fixed and it grows. Love it, keep up the good work! ~ Tony F

First time going here to throw axes and I had a wonderful time! The staff who greets you is not only friendly but informative. They have several different options for stuff to throw and different games you can play. I really enjoyed the ninja stars. I fel bad ass. I even got to get my ass kicked in mortal combat on my way out. Ill be returning. Shout out to Veronica for being so helpful on everything from techniques, to trick shots, to different throwing games. Also had a wonderful conversation. Defenetly gonna recommend this place to my friends. If are teetering on the edge of visit just go for it. You wont be disappointed! ~ Kris B

SO. MUCH. FUN! When we got inside we were warmly greeted and walked through the process of axe throwing. Our instructor, Becca, was very helpful in explaining everything and showing us how to do it. We were having a bit of trouble at the start with getting the axes to hit the target right, but she was so helpful and patient and supportive! It only took a moment before we were hitting the targets pretty regularly and having a blast! It was so much fun, and a very inexpensive afternoon activity if I might add. They really helped us to enjoy our visit and we wouldn't hesitate to "swing" by again next time we're in town! ~ Benjamin B

If you are looking for a great place to learn how to throw a variety of axes, this is the place to be! Not only that, there is an entire game room, with great classic games, that you don't see anymore. There is also a small cafe, that has ice cream, candy, and beverages. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have a great time, to try out Old School Axe Co. Shout out to Jess and Kyle, they are both very friendly and helpful with showing us how to properly throw the different types of axes and providing a great atmosphere for us! We will be going back to the Old School Axe Co. again! 👍 ~ Cole H

Not only is this place an excellent arcade, but the ax throwing is super fun! If you want to feel like an old-time Viking or warrior definitely come down and get your hand on one of these ax handles as soon as you can and get to throwing! There's a slew of fun games they've arranged for you to try out in the ax throwing! The arcade is super fun there's a lot of great relatively modern and old school arcade machines here! I myself found the rock and roll ax (guitar hero) to be a great addition to the authentic axes of the throwing lanes as well! ~ Dillon H

We had our 11 year old's birthday party here, and it was awesome. Being able to bring in our own pizza, cake, and drinks makes this the best place for a birthday party in town, at least from a financial perspective. They've got a party room that's already decorated, and has paper plates, forks, napkins, etc. We showed up with some pizza, a cake, and a cooler, and boom. Party. The kids had a blast playing games (and so did several of the parents). Staff were super friendly and helpful. Could not recommend this place enough. ~ John P

My wife and I did a day date at Old School Arcade and it was great! Super friendly staff, inviting, helpful, professional and informative. We were absolutely thrilled with our experience there and the manager of the place, a young man whose name I didn’t get, entertained additional questions we had about hosting a potential party there. I was very happy with how wheelchair accessible it is in there. I've been to other arcades where there isn't a very wide aisle between the rows of games and it's difficult for me to squeeze through in my chair, especially when there are lots of people around the cabinets. No such issues here. I was also very happy to learn that the axe throwing area was accessible and I was able to participate in that. ~ Dudeonwheels

Such a fun time at Ironside Axe Club! As first time axe throwers our group of four was a bit nervous. However, our awesome coach Maverick put us all at ease. He clearly explained the technique and even watched us throw to add some tips to improve. His recommendations really made a difference. Everyone was very friendly and it was a blast! I was surprised to find such an amazing venue. Everything was perfect. Piper did such a great job communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. We had 10 party guests they played for about 3.5 hours. Being able to bring in our own food and drinks made the party even better! Thank you for hosting us ~ Erin F

My daughter had her wedding reception there and everything turned out perfectly. The employees were so very helpful and conscientious! Jessica was an absolute blessing during the setup and take down and her team was brilliant with making sure people stayed safe while throwing axes and made everyone feel confident enough to try! ~ Lynda W

Great arcade! We went for the axe throwing and were not disappointed. Was worth it just for learning how to throw axes. Very knowledgeable and thorough instructor (Donnie) taught us how to throw 2 handed and 1 handed axes and throwing stars. We had so much fun! We came down from the cities and found this place for a fun activity to do with friends. Very helpful and how they run things is very smooth and easy to understand! We got the option of throwing a variety of different axes/hatchets (one was even a shovel) which made it more fun! Highly recommend!!! ~ Alise K

My son went here for his 9th birthday and it was a 5-star experience! We were late to reserve a party table and the staff was super accommodating. I had a great time learning how to throw several types of axes in different ways. The staff were experienced and gave helpful tips. The hour of axe throwing was more fun than I expected and I even scored several bulls eyes! The arcade is clean, organized, has fun games, and was very reasonably priced. Our whole group enjoyed ax throwing. The whole experience was a fantastic time! We checked out the arcade after and that was fun, too! Quite a few of the pinball machines and old school arcade games were broken in one way or another so that part kind of stunk but overall a good time! ~ Alexia C

This is the perfect kid birthday party venue. I'm so glad we had our son's 8th birthday party here! The kids had a blast running around and playing ALL the arcade games for 2 hours. Awesome place, friendly staff, I'd give them 500 stars if I could. :) ~ Katie G

Great staff .. both the girl in the arcade place and the axe throwing coach are friendly and kind .. The coach will teache you how to throw for beginners .. Don't get frustrated in the first 15 minutes because you are going to get better afterwards .. Highly recommended .. ~ Ali A

This place is a PERFECT date night! They didn't have walk in axe throwing when we went sadly, but the arcade games were so much fun. Only $13.50/person, all you can play games!!! They also have ice cream too.. Rochester has needed a place like this! Affordable, fun, and a great place to hang out. ~ Jerrianna H

The axe throwing and video games are a lot of fun. Friendly staff help you learn how to throw axes and other weapons. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Many pin ball machines and other old school favorite video games. ~ Joseph B

We just had our second birthday party here (first one was for an 8th birthday, now a 10th birthday) and the kids had a blast! Staff are super friendly, all games work and if they don't they fix them right away. Definitely recommend! ~ Robin M

Never threw an axe in my life before this place but it was fun all the same lol. Staff were helpful in teaching the ropes and getting started. The arcade has a cool atmosphere with a good assortment of classic games. Would recommend. ~ Mini S
